Drawing inspiration from the rich heritage of craft - from Elizabethan tapestries, to the Medieval calendar and manuscripts, Naomi creates decorative designs on wood blocks. Miniature scenes are created on lemonwood blocks using fine chisels. The prints are then burnished onto fine japanese paper.
The Gather-In Exhibition, 2025
The Gather-In: A joyful harvest exhibition celebrating art, craft, poetry and produce.
Naomi will showcase a collection of her Flowerlore wood engravings alongside the work of a group of artists and makers from across Scotland. The exhibition will take place at Amisfield Walled Garden - an 18th century walled garden, lovingly restored into a vibrant and welcoming community garden.

A series of wood engraved prints inspired by the myths and folktales told to attribute meaning and symbolism to flowers.
The Lily of the Valley: 'The return to happiness'
The Lily of the Valley has strong narrative links to the Nightingale. According to legend, the Lily of the Valley fell in love with the Nightingale and forevermore will only bloom when the Nightingale returns to the woods in May.
Through her sister company Kinship Press, Naomi has applied the designs to a collection of fine bone china, in collaboration with Xavier Britain. The Millefleur collection is made in the historical potteries, Stoke on Trent and is available to buy at Xavier Britain.
